Cliff Bell’s
Introducing Cliff Bell’s, a jazz and blues destination located in Detroit, MI. This upscale establishment offers a unique dining experience with a blend of New American cuisine and a lively bar atmosphere. The restaurant provides a range of amenities such as live music, valet parking, and outdoor seating, making it a perfect spot for a night out with friends or a romantic dinner.
As a food reviewer of Restaurant World, I had the pleasure of sampling the exquisite menu at Cliff Bell’s. The first course offerings, including the Beeler Farm's Pork Cheeks braised in coffee & vanilla and Achiote Prawns with tamale grits, were both flavorful and elegantly presented. The selection of soups and salads, such as the Spring Salad with lavender-champagne vinaigrette, showcased the freshness of the ingredients.
When it came to the entrees, the Grilled Bronzino with lemon risotto and the Smoked Portabella with mushroom cream sauce stood out for their expert preparation and delectable flavors. The side dishes, including Chef's Veg and Charcuterie Board, added an extra layer of variety to the meal.
The customer reviews of Cliff Bell’s echo my own sentiments, with guests raving about the delicious food, attentive service, and vibrant jazz atmosphere. Whether you're looking for a classy dinner experience or a late-night hangout with friends, Cliff Bell’s is sure to impress. Make sure to try their signature dishes like the Crispy Shrimp, Lobster Mac and Cheese, and Cinnamon & Cheesecake bread pudding for an unforgettable dining experience.
Overall, Cliff Bell’s offers a combination of fine dining, live entertainment, and a touch of nostalgia that sets it apart as a must-visit destination in Detroit. From the upscale ambiance to the creative menu offerings, this restaurant embodies the spirit of jazz and blues while delivering a memorable culinary experience.

This is a great unique spot where you can experience good food, have nice live music, and enjoy your dinner. One waitress was very sweet and recommended a few items like the crispy shrimp and deviled eggs. My favorite items on the menu were the Crispy Shrimp, the Scallops, the Cinnamon & Cheesecake bread pudding, and the chocolate torte. All the item we ordered were good but we really enjoyed the others and highly recommend ordering them. The Crispy shrimp is very delicious and the coleslaw was different than what I was used to. I don't normally like or eat coleslaw but they had a nice little spice to it. Their desserts were also very delicious and perfect to end the night! You can't go wrong with the bread pudding or the chocolate torte. Both were very delicious! We enjoyed our time and the live band was nice to listen to. A great place to grab a drink or get dinner. The cover charge is $25 for the band which starts around 7:30.

I went on a Friday night to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a wonderful time! The food was absolutely delicious (I ordered the lobster mac and cheese while our table got a variety of starters). The lobster was juicy and the lemon on too provided some needed citrus to cut the rich flavor of the dish. Amazing service:Our server was extremely attentive & mindful while the performers were doing their set (allowing our table to both enjoy the music & get food orders in efficiently)! 10/10 would recommend & go again!

Amazing old school jazz club that puts you in the mood before the music even starts. Service went above and beyond seating us at the stage. Well crafted cocktails, and Noah Jackson (with drummer Louis Jones III) was off the charts!
